This collection contains the incoming correspondence of Helen West Stewart Ridgely. The letters are largely from her grandmother, mother, sister, brother, husband and children. The letters detail the life of a Baltimore society matron in the late 19th century and especially reveal child rearing practices.

The materials in this collection include account ledgers, receipts and checks, and miscellaneous letters.
