Biographical / Historical
Kate Butler Lucas White (1840-1920) was the daughter of Edward Carrell Lucas (1811-1872) and Catherine "Kate" A. Meline (1818-1897). In 1865, she married Thomas Hurley White (1837-1902), a sugar refiner in Baltimore. The couple were parents to Edward Lucas (1866-1934) and Ethel (1868-1955).
