Biographical / Historical
Rebecca Ridgely Buchannan Pue (1778-1853) was the daughter of William Buchanan (1747-1824) of Baltimore and Margaret Hill Dorsey (1752-1797). In 1800, she married Dr. Arthur Pue (1774-1847). The couple were parents to: Rebecca Anna (1801-1851), married Charles Ridgely Carroll; Arthur (1804-1881), married Sally Dorsey; Charles Ridgely (1808-1871), married Emily Louisa Williams; Henry Hill (1810-1850), married Harriett Hammond; Priscilla (1817-); Maria Ridgely (1819-1900), married Charles Thomas; and Eliza (1825-1880).
