The negative photostats of printed transcripts from A Collection of Letters and State Papers, (Leonard Howard, London, 1753-6) include four letters from George Calvert to "Lordship" mostly concerning criminal legal matters, including the trial of several persons accused of collusion with the Dutch.
There are photostats of seven letters from Philip Calvert and two letters from Charles Calvert, all to [Richard Nichols] asking for news, asking for aid in the settling of such matters as the theft of some clothing and a Negro by one Thomas Nettingham, and discussing such topics as the Indian Wars, possible restraints on the planting of tobacco, and the comings and goings of ships.
Also included in the collection are a record of ships entering the District of Potomac River in Maryland, recorded by John Coode, Naval Office, and an Account of John Rousby, Receiver of Puttexent District, both negative photostats.
