This sketch shows the post office in Baltimore being guarded outside by Major Cook's Boston Battery. Cannons are also located outside the post office in case of a riot. The Post Office was then located in the old Exchange Building on the site of the present Custom House. The sketch was made from the south side of Exchange Place. Published New York.
