Summary: The collection contains the handwritten memoirs of Civil War Confederate Soldier, Christian Conradt. The memoirs, describing events between May 1861-June 1863 deal with Conradt's war experience while enlisted in the First Maryland Regiment. The following is a list of key figures appearing in the memoirs: Captain Edward R. Dorsey, Colonel Elsey, General E. Kirby Smith, Captain Goldsborough, General Randolph, General Stuart, and General Jackson. The following key events were described: The Battle of Bull Run and Battle of Gettysburg.
