Upon his enlistment in Colored Troops on March 31, 1864, Louis Bailey is set free by Margaret C. Mills, under the seal of clerk of Circuit Court for Talbot County. Mrs. Mills inquires about $300 which Mr. Bailey owes her, and is informed on December 4 that he died on January 25, 1881, but that his wife is still residing in Baltimore.
