Abstract
Lucille Clifton was a poet, author, and college professor. She served as the Poet Laureate of Maryland from 1979 to 1985. In this interview, she discusses: neighborhood people and commercial establishments; changes during past fifty years; Mount Royal Improvement Association; Fifth Regiment Armory Plaza; State office complex; biographical material on Mr. Briscoe (Calvert County, Annapolis) and Mrs. Briscoe; current problems of Bolton Hill community.
