Abstract
Norma Svejda was the daughter of Czech immigrants, as well as an artist and teacher. In this interview, she discusses: the reason why Czechs of her parents' generation chose to emigrate; why they chose to come to Baltimore; Bohemian savings and loan companies; Czechs' ability as skilled tailors; pride in craftsmanship; and comparison of Catholic and Protestant Czechs in Baltimore.
