The collection contains photographs of the Banks and associated families, including the Heilemans and Wilsons. Photographs of the family home, Chatsworth, are also a part of the collection. The majority of the photographs are cartes de visite and cabinet cards. Cased photographs, such as daguerreotypes and ambrotypes, have been removed to the Cased Photograph Collection.
