Constitution and Proceedings of Brengle Home Guards in Frederick, MD, formed for "the protection of the citizens of Frederick from mobs, violence, and at same time to do all that good citizens of MD may lawfully do, to preserve the Union". Roll of 305 members headed by Capt. Alfred E. Brengle, with John A. Steiner, secretary.
