Content Description

This collection contains two scrapbooks on the life of Philip Calder Turner (1878-1952) kept by his daughter, Marion Turner Clark. Scrapbooks include photographs and newspaper clippings of various construction projects, copies of letters he wrote pertaining to farming interests and problems with the Teamsters Union, correspondence on the Maryland State Fair, photos of cows and some information on their breeding lines, photos of McDonough Farm Training School, a pamphlet on Madame Chiang Kai-shek, poems written by Turner on politics and farming, letter about dues for his wife for the Maryland Historical Society, clipping onthe history of Calder Farm, photographs of boards and organizations he was active in and photographs of Mr. Turner.
