Abstract
This collection contains letters to Anne Caroline Coleman (1818-1896) during her time at Miss Mercer's Academy in West River, Maryland circa 1830-1833. The letters include details of life in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Virginia. Correspondents include: Sarah F. Cocke, Harriet Fenwick, Ann C. Hall, Christiana Lippincott, Mary T. McLane, Agnes Riddell, Margaret Tilghman, Elizabeth Tod Hunter, and Lucretia Van Bibber.
