This collection contains papers concerning the division of the estate of Samuel Smith (d. 1831) and instilling Michael Keyser with guardianship of William Smith and powers as agent of Ann Smith. The bulk of the collection consists of receipts, notes, orders, and bills issued by Ann Smith or Michael Keyser.

Included are deeds of Samuel Smith; a handwritten copy of an account of Michael Keyser as guardian of William Smith (circa 1831); petition for the division of the estate of Samuel Smith (1834); and a letter from P. Young to George Dickey concerning the purchase of land from Michael Keyser and William Smith (1838).
