Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials related to various members of the Cohen family. Most of the items document Jacob I. Cohen’s service in the Revolutionary War, including travel passes and signed Oaths of Fidelity. Several of the items throughout the collection have been annotated by Margaret Cohen, daughter of David I. and Harriett Cohen. Also of interest may be a bank note issued by J. I. Cohen Jr. & Brothers’ Banking House and appointment documents for Colonel Mendes Cohen.
