Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Tilghman Family Papers are divided into ten series. Series I comprises the correspondence, records, and other materials relating to the most prominent and prolific writers among the Tilghmans in the collection, each of whom makes up a subseries (e.g. Subseries B: Papers of Edward Tilghman, Jr.).
