This collection includes the business papers of the Baltimore Bargain House, 1897-1980.
Frick family papers
The Frick family papers includes papers of socially prominent Baltimore and Washington, D.C. families, primarily from the mid-nineteenth to the early-twentieth century. The three main families are the Fricks, Poultneys, and Turnbulls, but scattered items from related Sloan, Carroll, Denison, Brown, Ramsay, and Spense families are here as well. The papers include correspondence, genealogies, accounts, land papers, diaries, travel diaries, and recipe books.
Harmonie Singing Society papers
This collection includes minutes (1911-53), correspondence (1920-45), financial records (1922; 1937-57), song lyrics, and minutes of the Harmonie Building Society, Harmonie Singing Society, and Harmonie Schutzen Verein.
Hawkins collection
James Howard McHenry papers
This collection contains the James Howard McHenry papers, dated 1810-1885. The vast majority of the collection is composed of family and business correspondence, but there are also scrapbooks, clippings, and ledgers.
M.S. Levy and Sons records
This collection contains the accounts, contracts, catalogs, and various business records connected with M. S. Levy and Sons, Baltimore hat manufacturers, 1884-1958.
Shoemaker record books
This collection consists of bank books and check books, monthly time books, Burnside ledgers, expense ledgers, journals, account ledgers, cash books, church attendance records, breeder's herd records, and similar items. Records were maintained by Samuel Moor Shoemaker, Samuel Moor Shoemaker II, Mrs. Augusta Chambers Eccleston Shoemaker, Mrs. Ellen Whitridge Shoemaker, and Dinsmore and Kyle.
William M. Marine collection
William Matthew Marine, 1843-1904, was a Baltimore attorney, the collector of the Port of Baltimore during the 1890's, and an amateur writer. This collection contains 32 boxes comprised of his legal and political correspondence, notes, and clippings from 1808-1904.
