Hand written statement by Ford regarding his imprisonment, his opinion of John Wilkes Booth and what he learned of the assassination conspiracy while he was in prison. Writing dates from approximately 1877 as Ford states he offered assistance to Secretary of War Stanton 12 years previously. Typed transcript included.
