Physical Description
General
3 "War Ration Book One" issued to Richard Medford and Sara Medford of 101 E. Mulberry Street. Richard's was issued on May 6, 1942 and Sara's issued on Dec. 11, 1942. The other ration book was issued to William Heimer of 401 S 9th Street Stainesville, FL on May 7, 1942. Beginning in May of 1942, the U.S. Office of Price Administration (OPA) froze prices on practically all everyday goods. Everyday goods were rationed during World War II.
