Physical Description
General
Baltimore's Oldest Church, 1771,the church was erected in 1785. Known as the mother church of the United Brethren in Christ. Benedict Schwope and Francis Asbury persuaded Philip William Otterbein to accept pastorate in 1774. Otterbein in 1784, help assisted Asbury with the ordination at the Christmas Conference which founded the Methodist Episcopal Church.
