Illustration of "The Sun" Iron Building located at the S.E. corridor of Baltimore and South Streets. First iron building in the world to use cast-iron beams and columns in its framing and finished in 1851. Architects R. C. Hatfield, James Bogardus and William H. Reasin. This building was destroyed in the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904.
