This photograph is of the Armstrong, Cator and Co. building. "Notions, Laces, Neckware, Ribbons, Silks, straw Goods" written on the front of the building. It was the oldest millinery business in the United States. Its five-story building with cast-iron façade was destroyed in the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904.
