Illustrations of Adams Express Company's Office located at 205 Baltimore St. Formally incorporated on July 1, 1854 by Alvin Adams. It became the largest express shipping company on the East Coast. The offices were destroyed in the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. The company rebuilt and still exists today. The McCormick and Company's illustrations displays there later location in the early 90s. The McCormick company began in Baltimore in 1889 by Willoughby M. McCormick. Most of the company's assets and records were destroyed in the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 and a new site was erected in 10 months. McCormick company still exists today.
