Photograph of Ford's Grand Opera House located on Fayette Street near Eutaw Street. founded by theatre manager John T. Ford who was born in Baltimore and also established Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC. Its architect was James J. Gifford. It opened to the public on October 2, 1871. It was closed in 1964.
