Abstract
Milton S. Eisenhower was President of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, from October 1956 to June 1967, and April 1971 to February 1972. In this oral history interview, he discusses his years at Johns Hopkins University including financial problems, fundraising, and the growth of various schools such as the Applied Physics Laboratory, Advanced International Studies, and Hygiene and Public Health. Eisenhower also talks about the Vietnam War, student unrest, educational institutions and defense re- search, and his philosophy of education.
