Abstract
Lubov Breit Keefer was a music and Russian language instructor in Maryland, at the Johns Hopkins University, and author of Baltimore's Music (Baltimore, 1962) and Music Angels (Baltimore, 1976). In this interview, she discusses: Early life in Russia; teaching at Catonsville High School and the Peabody Institute; her philosophy of teaching; Baltimore as a music center; the Baltimore Chamber Music Society; the Baltimore Symphony; Asgar Hamerick; Reginald Stewart; local chamber music groups; women as art patrons.
