Three letters from Dr. William Lee (1841-1893) of Washington D.C. (dated 1874 January 10th; 1874 January 18th; and 1874 February 4th) addressed to Lucy Bond Lee (1811-1897) of Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lee mentions that he “was among the first to do hospital service to the wounded sons of Massachusetts after their passage through Baltimore in ’61.”
