This folder contains two Farmer's Almanacks, one from 1812(No. XX) and the other from 1813 (No. XXI). These were written by Robert B. Thomas (1766-1846) "fitted for the town of Boston, but will serve for any of the adjoining States." Printed for John West & Co. The Old Farmer's Almanack was first published in 1792 for the year 1793. Robert made his almanac the leading periodicl in America. The almanac includes weather forecasts, tide tables, planting charts, articles on gardening, sports, astronomy and farming.
