General
Vol. 3, No. 1 Coppin Teachers College Anniversary Number 1901-1941. Coppin Normal School was established in 1901, then became a 4 year college and the name was changed to Coppin Teachers College in 1939. Fannie Jackson Coppin was the inspiration behind the naming of the school, she was the first "Negro woman in the United States to obtain a college degree- Oberlin College 1865". Lillie Carroll Jackson is listedin this issue as one of the alumni in other fields of service.
