Newspaper clipping from Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper. Discusses the opening of the Baltimore City Railroad on July 20, 1859 and the first car. Through the agency Messrs. Fischer & Co. the car was seen for the first time starting on its first trip. The first few days of the cars existence fare was free but after was raised to 3 cents.
