Physical Description
General
Five varying receipts: The first is from the Mayor and City Council to William Thompson for the "toling the Bell of St Pauls Church for the funeral prosession of George Washington Esq." [sic] (January 2, 1800). The second is from the Mayor and City Council to High Seat for "toling the bell of the Pryspeteryan Church for the funeral Possion of George Washington Esq." [sic] (January 1, 1800). The third is from Richard Moule (?) to Elling and Kennedy for materials purchased for the funeral. The fourth receipt is from Captain James Thirm (?) to L. Chester Sr. for the making of ? for George Washington's funeral. The final receipt from James Calhoun to Samuel Cambell for the purchase of black cloth, signed by John C. Richard (December 30, 1799).
