The collection consists of 1 box with 60 items, of which 52 are unmounted albumen photoprints from ca. 1871, printed by the Bendann Brothers to illustrate the book Baltimore Past and Present. The remaining items are copy negatives or prints, and 1 vintage carte-de-visite photoprint. Each image is a portrait of a person featured in the book, with the subject’s autograph in the bottom margin; there are 49 people represented in the collection. Some images are copied from paintings or prints.
