William P. Preston collection
William Patterson account books
The four account books of the prominent Baltimore businessman William Patterson (1752-1835) relate primarily to his merchant and shipping activities. Patterson's Will is also included in this collection.
William Smallwood collection
The bulk of collection consists of letters written by William Smallwood, although several letters addressed to Smallwood are also included. Most of the letters deal with some aspect of politics or the Revolutionary War. Smallwood relates the movements of troops in a number of letters. There are numerous letters written to John Eager Howard in 1782. Other correspondents include Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer, Nathanael Greene, William Paca, Thomas Johnson, George Washington and others.
William Wirt letterbooks
This collection contains the outgoing letters relating to the law practice of William Wirt which were copied by clerks or assistants in his law office from 1806-16. The outgoing letters of a business and personal nature were copied by an assistant between 1832 and 1834. The names of correspondents are indexed.

The William Wirt papers consists primarily of correspondence between the United States Attorney General William Wirt, his family, and business associates from 1784-1864.

This is the record book of Allmand & Gallagher, Baltimore agents for the Williamsburg City Fire Insurance Company of New York, New York. Entries include names of various individuals and businesses as well as copies of their policies.

Wilmer- Hoffman-Deford manuscript collection
The Wilmer – Hoffman – Deford Manuscript Collection follow different branches of the Deford family tree, highlighting the lives of various, but eventually connected, families, extending from 1777 to 1999. The bulk of the papers (1777 – 1981) center around individual members of the families including James P. Wilmer, Wilmer Hoffman, RC Hoffman, and Mary Dorothea Hoffman Deford.
Wilson-Froelicher correspondence
This collection contains four Woodrow Wilson letters, eleven letters of Jessie Wilson (one of his daughters), and one of Francis B. Sayre, all are addressed to either or both Dr. and Mrs. Hans Froelicher.
