G. Harry Pouder collection
Abstract
This collection contains scrapbooks and ephemera belonging to George Harry Pouder, an official of the Baltimore Association of Commerce and an avid patron of the arts. His scrapbooks contain news clippings of world, national, and local events, items connected with his position in the Baltimore Association of Commerce, theater programs, invitations, dinner menus, tickets and ephemera connected with his journeys in America and overseas, and various Charcoal Club items from his tenure as President of the Charcoal Club School of Art. Also included in this collection are two letters each by H. L. Mencken and James Branch Cabell, and three by John McGrath to Pouder, including sketches.
