Biographical / Historical
This collection may depict the McGlannan family, headed by Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. McGlannan, the former a notary public with the Baltimore insurance firm of Lawford and McKim. In 1910, the familys home was at 2005 Madison Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. The large family included sons Edgar H., Walter L., Francis M., and Austin J., and daughters whose married names would be Mrs. Richard J. Riley, Mrs. Joseph V. Jeradi, Mrs. George R. Fisher, Mrs. Frederick G. Henkel, and Mrs. Richard T. Lynch.

Separated Materials
Accession records mention an additional photo album containing 54 photoprints, but this was not found and may have been returned to the donor.
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of one box with one folder containing 27 photoprints, taken in Baltimore and Garrett County, circa 1910. The photos may have been removed from an album. The images are not captioned, but include many informal individual and group portraits of McGlannan family members and friends in urban and park settings. There are images of people in a horse-drawn carriage, an automobile, and disembarking from a train, and of young women in graduation gowns and clowning for the camera, doing handstands or perched in a tree.
