Scope and Contents
The Jesse Slingluff photograph collection consists of 35 photographs collected by First Lieutenant Jesse Slingluff during his service with the 5th Maryland Regiment, U.S. Volunteers, National Guard prior to and during the Spanish-American War. The photographs date from 1894 to 1898. The majority of the photographs depict army camp life in Frostburg, Maryland; Tampa, Florida; and Huntsville, Alabama, where the 5th Regiment was stationed.
