Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of letters to Marion Shillingburg Carney, before she was married to Joseph Carney, from various suitors including John Cox, Dominic Tucci, and James Ott. Some of the suitors neglect to sign their surnames. The letters are from men while away at college and give an interesting view of Depression life from the eyes of students. Also in the collection are letters from Joe Carney after his marriage and several greeting cards and notes.
