Abstract
In September 1749, the sloop "Wolf" departed from New York on a slaving voyage to the coast of West Africa. Working on board as the ship's doctor, William Chancellor of Philadelphia, recorded his accounts of the voyage in a diary. One volume, either lost or destroyed, covered the period from September 1749 to mid-May 1750.
