Maritime scrapbooks
Scrapbook volumes from an unknown compiler contain newspaper clippings relative to 20th century maritime history. Clippings concern world-wide shipping disasters and naval activities of America, Britain, and Germany from the Spanish Civil War through the European and Pacific Theaters of World War II. Topics include American naval defenses, German submarine activity, and shipwrecks in the Chesapeake Bay region.
Maryland servicemen clipping file
This collection consists of news releases and glossy photographs of Marylanders in the United Stats armed forces--Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps--from 1950 to 1970. The material was sent to the "Baltimore News American" by these four military services.

The Stivers collection consists of twenty boxes of personal and navy correspondence written by Stivers, his colleagues, and family between 1913 and 1998. The Navy correspondence centers around Stivers' past service record and efforts made on the behalf of the Shenandoah Council. Personal correspondence includes annual Christmas letters, biographical information about Stivers, his friends, travel accounts, newspaper clippings, and correspondence concerning Stivers' publishing negotiations.
