Black family papers
Bond family papers
This collection contains leases, deeds, and financial records of various members of the Bond family of Baltimore and Harford Counties.
Brandau papers
This collection contains personal correspondence, report cards, postcards, holiday cards, certificates, business correspondence, receipts, and stock records of Baltimore lawyer Clement Rider Brandau, Jr. (b. 1929) and his wife Jean Kolb Brandau (b. 1933).
Brune family papers
The collection consists mainly of letters written by or to members of the Brune family of Baltimore. The letters date roughly from 1831 to 1897. The majority of the letters concern family and personal matters rather than business affairs.
Buchanan receipt book
This collection consists of the receipt book of Andrew Buchanan, a Baltimore merchant, with mainly sums paid as loans or advances. Includes some items for wages, taxes, and shingles.
Buckler family papers
This collection contains correspondence 1775-1938, receipted bills 1793-1813; 1862; land papers 1770-1860; shipping invoices 1840-50. The bulk of the material is correspondence of the Buckler family, principally letters to William Buckler (1804-70) from his brother, Dr. Thomas Hepburn Buckler (1812-1901), and two sisters Elizabeth Buckler (1793-1849) and Mattie Augusta Lindsay Buckler (1806-86), while William Buckler was abroad on trips to China.
Captain Benjamin Jenne papers
This collection contains the business papers of Captain Benjamin Jenne. The materials represent the typical paperwork of the import and export business, such as bills of lading, invoices, and insurance claims.
Captain James Chaytor papers
This collection contains the accounts, prices, shipping invoices of Captain James Chaytor, a sea captain, to customers all over the world, from Baltimore and Norfolk. Among the correspondents are Issac McKim and Gregor McGregor.
Carl Schon Inc., records
This collection contains fifteen boxes of orders and receipts, bills and invoices, forms from the U. S. Treasury and insurance companies, as well as business correspondence dealing with Carl Schon Inc., a Baltimore-based jewelery firm.
Carroll-McTavish papers
These papers concern the settlement of the estates of Charles Carroll of Carrollton (1737-1832) and of his grandson-in-law Robert Patterson (1781-1822). The collection includes correspondence, vouchers, legal and land records. There are also some papers of John McTavish (1787-1852) and his wife Emily Caton McTavish (1793-1867).
