This collection contains an album of approximately 91 photographs assembled by Baltimore-native Arthur Gray (1896-1963) during his training at Camp McClellan (now Fort McClellan) in Alabama as well as his service in France during World War I. Arthur volunteered for the 1st Maryland Ambulance Corps and served in France in 1918 as part of the 104th Sanitary Train, 29th Division. The 104th Sanitary Train was comprised of Maryland and Virginia National Guard ambulance and hospital units. Photos include portraits of Arthur as well as group shots with his fellow servicemen.
