This collection contains two copies of an article published in the Baltimore Sun in which Herman Maril was asked to choose his favorite Baltimore work of art; he chose a Belgian Congo fetish from his personal collection. The photographs in the collection include several of Maril painting in his Baltimore studio, displays of his African art, and a notecard with a photograph of his painting “Cat and Candelabra.”
