The bulk of the collection was originally placed in three photo albums containing the photographs and documents collections by Lt. Col. Stewart. The first album contained photographs and documents from Stewart's time in the CCC through his posting at New Caledonia. The second album held the photographs and documents collected during the liberation of Europe in 1944-1945. The third album contained photographs and documents from Lt. Col. Stewart's serivce in Korea. Several panoramic photographs are also part of the collection> The photographs arranged in folders each containing ten to eleven photographs. They are placed in the same order in which they were placed in the albums, and are in approximate chronological order.
