Scope and Contents
The Robert L. Harris photograph collection consists of six boxes of 137 glass and film negatives, depicting life in Baltimore in the first half of the 20th century. The negatives encompass photographs of special family moments, like opening Christmas gifts, blowing out birthday candles, and trips to the beach. Also includes photographs of women, home interiors and exteriors, construction sites, businesses and cityscapes of Baltimore during World War II. Most photograph locations and subjects are unidentified. Identified locations include Towson Court House, Maryland Academy of Sciences, War Memorial Plaza, and Mt. Vernon Methodist Church.
