This collection consists of 9 family history research papers written for a course given at UMBC in 1977 entitled "Perspectives on the Family". Each paper describes the history of the student's grandparents', parents', and own generations with brief mention of earlier ancestors.

This collection consists of news releases and glossy photographs of Marylanders in the United Stats armed forces--Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps--from 1950 to 1970. The material was sent to the "Baltimore News American" by these four military services.

This collection contains agency files and archives for the Maryland Society for Sight, which operated from 1909-2019.

The collection consists of annual reports (1974, 1984, 1987), constitution and by-laws, correspondence (1961-1987), membership lists (1970, 1987), minutes (1977-1986), and programs (1974-1986) of the Maryland Society of New York.

The Maryland tax lists are a large collection of tax records for Maryland and Washington, D.C. dated between 1798-1805. The collection contains general assessment lists, particular assessment lists, and general tax books or lists.

The Maryland Volunteers 2nd Regiment records contain materials related to Company A of the unit. Muster rolls, receipts, records of payments, certificates of discharge and hospitalization related to Lt. George W. Booth are highlights of the collection. The collection also contains documentation of the hospitalization and subsequent discharge of Sgt. William Zepp for mental illness.
